Dear Daughter,
Went to Dillard's (not to shop), went to the bank, and went to the grocery store.
Daddy and I went down to lunch today, and had a good lunch. Daddy had veal steak and I had meat loaf, with the vegetables.
This has been a good day, nothing happened, and that is what I like.
Daddy is watching the news. I'm sure there is some news, but I will be watching it at 6:00, so I guess there is nothing that can't wait.
Hope you had a good day, and that the Second Graders were reasonably nice.
Have a good evening -
Much love, M & D

Dear Mother:
Since this morning, I have not stopped running so it's nice just to sit down at my computer and relax! I know my letter is late so I'm make it quick. And, by the way, I thank you for your quick letter--I think we are both in a hurry!
After morning duty, I had an hour before my first class which I used to re-do my schedule, ONE MORE TIME--or so I thought. When I took it to several of the 2nd grade teachers, there were "suggestions" for improvement so I re-did it, ONE MORE TIME! We'll see if they have any complaints tomorrow! Then I had my rowdy second grade class but they were so busy putting together all their work for the nine weeks into book form that they didn't have enough time to be bad. Another second grade class followed, and then Gretchen came over to my room for lunch. I spent some more time after that on paperwork and then it was time for and hour and a half class with my 3rd grade. There was a brief respite (10 minutes) and then I had my last class of the day, a 2nd grade class. I cleaned my room and sent out some emails before going to the bank and then to Wal Mart. I got the yarn, Mother, and will get it mailed soon. It took me an hour to wander around Wal Mart trying to find everything on my list but finally I headed home. Buddy called so I talked to him for a few minutes while I was fixing dinner.
Buddy asked me to tell you that he would wait until later in the week to call you because he only has his mobile phone now. He should have his regular phone by Thursday--or so he hopes. He said the move had gone very smoothly and that it had been as painless as a move could be. Since he had taken a day off work--and will take off tomorrow, also--he thought he would have just about have everything unpacked by the end of the week. So, he was in a chirpy mood and seemed very happy with his apartment.
I'm going to go ahead and send this. We've eaten dinner and now I have to go wash my hair. I'll send you my schedule when I write in the morning. Hope you all continue to do well.
Bye--Ruth
