in Biloxi

Dear Daughter,

This has really been a short day. This morning I didn't do much, and after we had lunch, I stayed in. I told Daddy that I would probably go to the Penthouse, and he said he couldn't go today, so I decided I would stay in too.

I did press some clothes this afternoon, so, at least I have got all of my clothes hemmed, pressed and ready to go.

I have never been to Biloxi, but I am sure that it is a nice town. Hope you have a nice time time with your fellow workers.

Tonight we will watch the NY Yankees play the Marlins, Florida, to see who plays in the seven games they play every year. Yeah NY.

I hope you reached there okay and that every thing will be all right for you.

Dear Mother:

My roommate has already left to go down in search of breakfast so, despite having gone to bed at midnight, I have been up since 6:00 a.m. when she got up to shower and dress. Sigh...I guess I don't need to sleep. Alice, Gretcjem, and I stayed up late last night talking in their room and then exploring the hotel, convention center, and vicinity so we were up late. Annie, my roommate, stayed in the room and was fast asleep when I returned at 11:30. I had to take a shower but I don't think I bothered her. At least she pretended to be asleep.

Well, as I said, she has left so I'm going to get dressed, drink a little more coffee, and then go in search of Gretchen, Alice, and Annie. The conference starts at 8:30 but the registration is at 8:00 so I need to get down there and get signed in. Then I'll be in workshops the rest of the day. I'm sure we will go out to eat tonight and I imagine that we will go shopping somewhere or other.

Hope you all get to feeling more perky. It sounds like you haven't been feeling all that well but maybe you just needed several days of rest. I also keep worrying that you all might have caught a cold. Take care!!
